About John von Neumann UNI
John von Neumann University (JvNU), based in Kecskemét, is one of the youngest tertiary educational institutions in Hungary. However, the university’s legal predecessors have a history going back many years and boast longstanding traditions. With almost 4,000 students, we offer programs in technical sciences, economics, and agriculture; achieve significant results in terms of research and innovation; and foster extensive business and institutional networks.
Building on our dynamically expanding international connections, we aim to achieve greater visibility in the globalized world of higher education. Kecskemét is one of the strongholds of vehicle production in Hungary, as the Mercedes-Benz factory giant employs more than 5,000 people directly in production and thousands more indirectly at suppliers
John von Neumann University realized that a significant portion of researchers and the public are concerned about zero emissions not only in Europe but also in the United Arab Emirates. That is why last year we presented the solar racing car in Sharjah as part of a joint collaboration. After the presentation, we participated together with the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) at the Abu Dhabi EVIS electromobility exhibition with Supermoto, an electric motorcycle developed by JvNU. Taking advantage of our cooperation, JvNU has a permanent exhibition on the SRTIP campus. The focus of these competitions is in many ways the same as the Road-to-Zero campaign.
At the Hydrogen Technology Research Center innovation, education, research, and collaboration converge to shape the future of sustainable energy solutions. Established as a pivotal hub in 2022 at the John von Neumann University, our center is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of hydrogen technology in response to the global challenges of carbon neutrality and the pursuit of high-performance, affordable fuels.
Innovation lies at the core of our mission. We foster a dynamic environment where cutting-edge ideas are cultivated, and transformative technologies are developed. Our commitment to staying at the forefront of hydrogen-related advancements positions us as a catalyst for positive change in the energy landscape.
Education is a cornerstone of our approach. We believe in the power of knowledge dissemination to drive meaningful progress. Through comprehensive educational initiatives, we aim to equip the next generation with the skills and insights needed to navigate the complexities of hydrogen technology and contribute to a sustainable future.
Research is the engine that propels us forward. Our multidisciplinary teams engage in rigorous exploration, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of hydrogen-based solutions. By bridging theory and practice, we seek to unlock new possibilities and drive technological breakthroughs that address the pressing energy challenges of our time.
Recognizing the interconnected nature of global challenges, we actively seek partnerships with scientific institutions, industrial entities, and international collaborators. By fostering cross- disciplinary cooperation, we aim to amplify the impact of our efforts and contribute to a shared vision of a more sustainable world.
